We're a group of volunteers in Ryedale, North Yorkshire who have come together to organise the making of Christmas boxes for people in our community. Although we are independent, we have partnered with Ryedale Community Foodbank, whose volunteers distribute the boxes to people on their list.
2024 is the third year we are running the appeal and the response of people in Ryedale has been truly heartwarming. This year we are aiming to make 600 boxes for adults and children, which will hopefully help make Christmas feel special for everyone. We feel passionate about making our community a welcoming place for everybody and making the boxes is just a little piece in the jigsaw of Ryedale's thriving community. Ever-increasing research highlights that being part of a supportive community is one of the most important outcome indicators in terms of physical and emotional health, longevity, prosperity and a general sense of wellbeing and happiness.
We are looking forwards to partner with everyone in Ryedale and all contributions are most welcome, however large or small.
